First of all, congratulations, you can now create your first surveys.

Here's a quick guide to show you how and what you can do:

Go to "Studies" and then "Surveys", choose a template or start from scratch :

Step 1 : Settings & Design

Choose the name of the survey, add tags, a specific design...

Step 2 : Edit

First, choose the language and then the format.

  • Text: Display custom text in your survey to provide context, instructions, or information to your users.

  • Open Question: Let your users freely express their thoughts. Also made to collect emails. Analyze responses with AI.

  • Multiple Choices: Offer users several options to pick from. Allow single or multiple selections.

  • Rating: Gather scores from users to measure satisfaction or performance.

  • NPS (Net Promoter Score): Rate users' loyalty on a scale of 0-10. A dedicated report is available for this question.

  • CES (Customer Effort Score): Evaluate effort level on a scale of 1-7. A dedicated report is available for this question.

  • CSAT (Customer Satisfaction): Use emojis to gauge user sentiment from very unhappy to very happy. Dedicated report available.

  • Range Rating: Allow users to slide and select a value on a continuous scale to capture nuanced feedback.

  • Link: Insert links to guide users to internal or external pages seamlessly within your survey.

  • Calendar: Let users book a meeting with you or your team. Integrates with Calendly, Hubspot, and Google Calendar.

You can also ask an App Store Rating but only at the end of the survey.

Each format allows you to edit your survey.

Choose and customise the flow :

New amazing feature available: You can ask a question in video format (thanks to the audio/video add-on) for even more personalization and receive answers in audio and video. Check this article.

Step 3 : Share

Choose where you want to share this survey :

For example, if you want to share in your web app, you will have different mode settings like :

If you go to Advanced and select a trigger that is not available in Simple (such as scroll or user event count, for example), the Simple tab is deactivated. If you delete this trigger in Advanced, Simple becomes accessible again.

It will also be possible to activate a test mode if you want to test this survey before putting it into production.

Warning! Test Mode allow your users to answer the survey again even if they already answered to it ! Activate this mode only on your development environment, or add targeting rules to only target you during your tests.

What is Survey Capping and how can i use it?

You have this feature available in your workspace settings, so it will apply to all your surveys to limit the number of displays or responses.

Conditions Before Display : We won’t display your surveys until these conditions are met.

Global Capping : Cap the displays and responses of all your surveys over a specific period of time. This will be applied globally, for all your surveys. Once those limits are reached, we won't display your surveys until the end of the period.

Per Survey Capping : Cap the displays and responses of all your surveys individually, over a period of time. This will be applied to each of your surveys and when one of them reach these limits, the others will continue to be displayed.

Per User Capping : Cap how many surveys a user will see over a period of time and how long we'll wait before displaying a new survey after the user answered or closed one.

If you only want to apply it to one or more surveys of your choice, this is also available in the "share" section.

AND... don't forget to put live your survey when everything is ready, in the top right corner

Step 4 : Analyze

Your survey is now available and you can analyse your responses using the analysis function.

You'll have a different dashboard to analyse your responses and move forward with your project.

Tip : You can also share some survey by slack or email
