How to deploy Screeb in your Web app?

This page will guide you through the installation of Screeb, even if you're not a developer.

Step 1️⃣ Find your Tag

Here's how to find your Tag:

Login to your Screeb account
Click on Workspace Settings, on the bottom left corner on the app:

Then, click on Install Screeb and there you'll find the Tag that you need :

You will find different Tag : Javascript Snippet, Javascript Module, React, Angular and Segment

Export your Users information

If you're interested in exporting all your users, you should know that it is possible, and here's how you can do it.

Where can I find the export feature?

You need to access to Users and then click on Export :

You can export your users via excel, The CSV export can be carried out with or without filters.

Choose to export all or with filters :

When you click on the Export button, you can choose which data you want to export.

you have two choices:

Export all, that will export every data of this survey, from the beginning
Export with filters, that will on export the results of your Time and Segment filters

How to use your users' events to choose when to display your surveys

With Screeb, you have several options to decide who, among your users, will see your surveys.

First, you can decide to display them to all your users. That's how Screeb is set by default.

But you can also create segment of users, based on their behaviour. Read more about it in this dedicated article.

The third option is that you can decide who will see your surveys based on the events triggered by your users in your product. Here's the complete guide on how to do it.

Track you users’ events

The first thing you need to do is to track your users' events. You can find a precise guide about that here.

This is mandatory to be able to display surveys based on these data.

Use your users' events in targeting

Now that you track your users' events, here's how to use them to choose who'll see your surveys.

Go to the survey you want to set, and go to the Design & Targeting tab.

Using Screeb with Content Security Policy

You want to display Screeb surveys while being sure your app is secured and protected against injection attacks, here's how to make Screeb compatible with your Content Security Policy (CSP).

Default-src

First of all, to ensure no breaking in the way Screeb will work in your app, we recommend you to use the default-src directive (the "default-src" serving as a fallback for all the other directives), and not each one individual of the CSP directives ("connect-src", "object-src", "script-src", "frame-src", "script-src", "style-src", "font-src", …).

Domains to allow

Screeb uses two protocols to work: HTTPS and WSS. So you need to allow those 2 domains for Screeb to be displayed in your app:

https://*.screeb.app  
wss://*.screeb.app

One you've done that, your surveys will be displayed correctly in your app while respecting your CSP.

Your CSP

So your CSP should - at least - look like this:
