Collecting Feedback via Feedback Button with Screeb

A Feedback Button is a powerful and non-intrusive way to collect real-time feedback from users as they interact with your platform. It allows you to capture their thoughts and experiences at the exact moment they use your product, providing valuable insights to improve the user experience. Whether addressing immediate concerns or gathering ideas for new features, the Feedback Button serves as a continuous feedback loop for optimizing your platform.

Step 1: Create a survey

Before you can start collecting feedback, you'll need to create a survey that users can respond to.

  1. Go to the Screeb and click on "Create Survey."

  2. Choose the survey type that best fits your feedback goals (e.g., satisfaction, feature requests, bug reports).

  3. Design your questions to be concise and relevant, ensuring you capture the most valuable feedback.

Once your survey is ready, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Access the Feedback Button Channel

After creating your survey:

  1. Navigate to the Share section of the dashboard.

  2. Select the Feedback Button as your distribution method.

This will allow you to present the Feedback Button on your platform, where users can access it at any time to provide input.

Step 3: Configure targeting rules

To ensure you’re gathering relevant feedback, you can customize who sees your Feedback Button:

  1. Set targeting rules based on various criteria, such as user segments, behaviors, or specific pages.

    • For example, you can display the Feedback Button only to logged-in users, or on key pages like checkout or support sections.

  2. Adjust the rules to ensure the feedback is coming from the most relevant users at the right moments.

Targeting the right audience at the right time maximizes the usefulness of the feedback you receive.

Step 4: Customize your Feedback Button

  1. Customize the appearance of your Feedback Button to align with your brand’s look and feel. You can:

    • Change the color to match your brand's palette.

    • Upload a custom image or icon to make the button more attractive.

    • Adjust the size and position on your platform for the best visibility.

  2. You can do this directly in the Design section of the Feedback Button settings. If you prefer a consistent look across all Feedback Buttons, you can apply these design customizations globally in the Workspace Settings.


Best Practices for Using the Feedback Button

  • Keep it visible but non-intrusive: Ensure your Feedback Button is easy to find but doesn’t interrupt the user experience.

  • Use clear calls to action: Label the button with actionable text, like "Give Feedback" or "Share Your Thoughts," to encourage more users to engage.

  • Leverage real-time feedback: Act on the feedback promptly, whether it’s resolving an issue or acknowledging a great idea, to build trust and show users their input is valued.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly integrate the Screeb Feedback Button into your platform, allowing users to share their insights effortlessly and helping you continuously improve the user experience.
